Wed (6/19) Promotion begins at 9 a.m. Promoting students must report to their assigned rooms by 8:30 a.m.

2019-2020 WEB Leader-Spring Play Day, consisted of team building activities facilitated by Mrs. Ontiveros and Ms. Frank. WEB leaders will be participating and dedicating days in the summer to train and gain skills needed to lead/guide our incoming 6th grade students.

Padres, por favor revise la mochila de su hijo para asegurarse de que tengan todo lo que necesitan para terminar el año escolar con éxito. Las mochilas de los estudiantes talvez sean revisadas a la entrada a la escuela. Cualquier estudiante de octavo grado que participe en cualquier comportamiento inseguro o inapropiado en la escuela no participará en actividades de promoción. Good evening Blackstock families, as we prepare for the last two weeks of school we would like to remind all students to be on their best behavior, be on time, and follow all school rules. Parents, please check your child’s backpack to make sure they have everything they need to finish the school year successfully. Students' backpacks may be searched upon entrance to the school. Any eighth-grade student who participates in any unsafe or inappropriate behavior at school will not participate in promotion activities. Thank you all for helping Blackstock be a safe and positive place to attend school.

This is a friendly reminder to continue accessing Parent Connect to check your child’s grades and attendance. The end of the school year is soon approaching. Your student has time to push his/her grades up. Please submit all missing assignments and retake missing test/quizzes. It is important to continue reading daily to accomplish their reading goal. Thank you for talking to your child about displaying good behavior to stay off the restriction list and to avoid detention/suspension. Thank you for supporting your child’s success!
Mathematics students engage on a Sensational Slime Project. It focuses on ratios, proportional reasoning, graphing, working with a budget (including tax), and percent mark ups and discounts. Today they experimented with different ratios of glue to tide to find the perfect slime ratio.
BJHS students proudly performed at the Annual OUHSD Mariachi Concert held at Pacifica High School. Good job Panther students!!!
